Edifício Itália

The second highest building in São Paulo, inaugurated in 1965, with 168 meters tall and 46 stores, the Project was spearheaded by the Circolo Italiano, an association of Italian immigrants, to commemorate their economic contribution to the city and their newly solidified standing in Paulistana society. Reminiscent of the Ferrari logo, the rearing, bronze stallion that overlooks the street from the building’s mezzanine is called the Cavalo Rampante de Pericle Fazzini, and was a gift from the Italian government in 1974. However, the building’s main attraction is the rooftop restaurant and bar, the Terraço Itália.
